I choose to believe that the backstory to City Connection is that the driver got upset that the city would never repaint the highway lines and suffered a psychotic break over it worthy of a Batman villain. If they weren't going to repaint the lines, he would. He would repaint everything!
Reminds me of that Seinfeld episode where Kramer repaints the lines on that mile of highway he adopted. If his personality were tweaked just a little more dark and chaotic, I think Kramer could be an excellent 60s Batman villain.

4) I can't believe another person is mentioning Slider! I played that game a couple years ago for Sega Does and had an absolute blast. You're right, it's definitely more enjoyable than City Connection.

The Game Gear adapter was crucial for long road trips. Such a blessing.
Still need to play Shining Force on the Game Gear. Not sure how well it’s aged, but I imagine it was perfect for long road trips.
